Our Heritage Pigs

We raise Gloucestershire Old Spot. These pigs are raised on green pastures and fed locally mixed grain, whey from Harpersfield Cheese and garden grown fruits and vegetables.

Heritage animals have traits that make them particularly well-adapted to our local environmental conditions. These animals take longer to reach their market weight but we feel their superior flavor is worth the extra time.

Horton Hill Farm included heritage pigs in our pasture based system for several reasons. These pigs are gentle and excellent mothers. They are efficient pasture grazers. And best of all they provide us with flavorful and delicious pork.

We have USDA cuts of pork available at our farm. Pigs may also be purchased by the whole or half.
